About MRA Construction
MRA has been carrying out work for clients in Mid Sussex since 1986, first as a Sole Trader and latterly as a Limited Company, but always MRA.
We work directly with clients or through their own Architects, Surveyors and Engineers carrying out a range of work from extensions to new builds, renovations and refurbishments
We’re experienced with many types of construction, and have good experience of traditional and listed building work, traditional oak frame, modern timber frame and most types of brick/block construction.
We have the skills and experience to deliver your project on time and on budget.

We are customer focused, to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients. We may carry out one, two or three projects a year, but we never forget most clients only carry out one or two extensions in their lives.

Attention to detail is our byword, the finish of our projects is what people see and we aim to be first class. However the bits you don’t see get the same degree of attention, ensuring a high quality build throughout.

How do we work?
Contract agreement
Working with clients directly or their professional advisor, a contract sum and duration will be agreed, work will be divided into stages, with payments allocated at each stage, these will be submitted for payment on a regular basis, usually monthly. On reaching the completion of the first stage an invoice will be presented for payment, thereafter a monthly payment would be required based on stage completion.
Day to day operations
Day to day operations would be overseen by one of the directors, maintaining a continuity throughout the works.
We would deal with building control officers or your private building regulation surveyor, calling them in at each stage and gaining the completion certificate, which would be forwarded to the client on completion.
Completion
At practical completion, a retention of 2.5% of the contract sum is retained by the client for six months. We are always available beyond the six month retention period for any problems that might occur.
